O Ring Assembly Machine
Automatic O-ring assembly machine: vibratory bowl feeding, dead-nest track and dual-piston pneumatic expansion place seals on precision components.
Automatic O-ring feeding, expansion and placement
The O Ring Assembly Machine is designed for high-speed, accurate and repeatable O-ring feeding, expansion and placement on precision components and sub-assemblies. A vibratory bowl feeder, a dead-nest transfer track and a pneumatic expansion mechanism work together so every assembly cycle handles and installs the seal the same way.
The vibratory feeder separates and orients the O-rings automatically while the dead-nest track holds each ring in position before placement, reducing misalignment and improving consistency in repetitive production.
A pneumatically operated gripping system with a dual-piston mechanism controls the opening and closing of the expansion jaws. Both pistons are housed together but operate independently, giving stable, controlled expansion force for small, large-cross-section and harder-durometer O-rings — accurate placement without excessive stretching or deformation.
Built for semi-automatic and fully automatic seal placement, the machine removes the variation of manual assembly: incorrect positioning, uneven stretching and handling damage. Typical applications are O-ring placement on machined parts, precision sub-assemblies, automotive sealing components, pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies, and small turned or delicate components.
Key features
- Vibratory bowl separates O Rings, feeds a dead nest track and places the seals on the subparts
- Pneumatically operated gripping — seal spreading and placement using a dual piston mechanism
- Both pistons housed together, independently operating
- Perfect for seal placement and installation

Why manufacturers choose this machine
Chosen where O-ring placement is slow or inconsistent by hand: controlled feeding and expansion place rings of different sizes and hardness repeatably, standalone or in-line.
Questions buyers ask
What is an O-ring assembly machine?
A special-purpose machine that separates O-rings, feeds them automatically, expands them and places them accurately onto sub-parts during assembly.
How are the O-rings fed and positioned?
A vibratory bowl feeder separates and orients the rings; a dead-nest track holds each one in position for automatic placement on the component.
What gripping mechanism does it use?
A dual-piston pneumatic gripper opens and closes the expansion jaws that place each O-ring.
Can it handle different O-ring sizes and materials?
Yes — the expansion force suits larger cross-section O-rings as well as harder durometer materials, without excessive stretching or deformation.
Does it fit an automatic production line?
Yes — it integrates into semi-automatic and fully automatic assembly systems and also runs as a standalone workstation.
